About Our Company
Formed in 2017, Fortitude 17 delivers software testing and training services to clients within the Microsoft Dynamics and Ceridian Dayforce (HCM) spaces. We work with our customers in their quests to implement Microsoft Dynamics solutions with quality and knowledge that their transformation project has been tested with consideration and expertise.
We build testing processes, strategies and frameworks for businesses based on their requirements – and create such plans on a case-by-case basis. We deliver training workshops and materials based on the requirements of our customers, too.
Fun Fact: Our team consists of current and former professional footballers. By nature, that means we have excellent standards, collaborate well in teams and have a natural drive for success.
As a company, we are dedicated to continuous self-development and have access to various Microsoft systems and test tools to promote our skillsets. Did you know, our consultants have completed training courses on Microsoft Dynamics solutions, test tools and test automation?
Meet the Team
Emma
Founder & Lead Consultant
After seeing her best friend embark on a successful career in software testing, Emma decided to forge her own path in the profession. Her first role in tech was actually in Desktop Support – hardware, not software!
Launching her first software test company 8 years ago, “Becks” has worked with Microsoft AX and Dynamics solutions ever since. Her idea has always been to build a test consultancy by hiring the best people – people with ambition, determination and high standards – so it seems natural that she’s recruited 3 former teammates.
Currently playing as a Centre Mid for Amazon Grimstad FK in Norway – her second stint at the club.
Did you know… Becks has played for the Republic of Ireland and one of her favourite memories in football was meeting the entire Man United squad (Sir Alex, Roy Keane, Scholes, Ronaldo, etc.) as a teenager whilst working at her local hospital.
Certified ISTQB Test Consultant and trained in AX2012, Microsoft 365 Finance & Operations (now F&SCM), CRM (now CE) and Talent (HR). Also currently training on the Microsoft Dynamics Business Central and Ceridian Dayforce (HCM) solutions. Speaks French to a moderate standard and a little Norwegian!

Chelsea
Test Consultant
Joined our forces in 2021 after deciding to retire from professional football and completely transitioning in her career. She’s as honest as the day is long and her aptitude to learn is second to none. “Chels” is also in the final stages of completing her BA in Graphic Design too.
Former Right Back, though she’ll say she moonlights as a Centre Mid (and always finds the pockets!).
Did you know… Chels represented England, won a gold medal at the European Championships and can speak Italian competently after living there for 2 years.
Certified ISTQB Test Analyst, trained in Microsoft 365 Finance & Operations (now F&SCM) and currently training on the Microsoft Dynamics Business Central solution.

Meghan
Test Consultant
Joined the ranks in 2021 following a decision to move away from psychology to software testing. This decision was almost 7 years in the making after taking an interest in Emma’s profession.
Studious by trade, “Meg” is a self-professed student of the world and has a Masters in Psychology and Criminology. Her zest and passion for life is just as infectious as her laugh is.
Currently playing Left Back or Left Winger, and has played for both Arsenal and Chelsea.
Did you know… Meg‘s proudest moment in football is playing for Arsenal as a lifelong fan and has a beagle called D’Artagnan.

Jenna
Training & QA Consultant
Our newest recruit and joined us at the start of 2022. Moving away from her family’s successful events business and in search of a new challenge, she joined us as our Training & QA Consultant.
“Jen”, like Chels, is in the final stages of her degree – this time, a BSc in Psychology & Criminology. Her wise head and analytical mind makes her an excellent acquisition for our team.
Currently playing as a Forward (who knew?!) for Amazon Grimstad FK, based in Norway – though more regularly plays as a Centre Mid.
Did you know… Jen had a habit of achieving 100% exam results at GCSE and A-Level grade, all whilst playing football for England.

Being onboarded so early into the project allowed us to understand the client’s requirements from the outset. This early involvement only benefitted the project as we captured all project changes and natural growth, business pain-points and specific input from key stakeholders to sculpt our approach to testing. We actively performed smoke and system tests, planned all integration and user acceptance test phases and worked directly with almost 100 UAT participants. All defects and test results were retained in Azure DevOps for business longevity and an official handover was scheduled to the client following the planned launch of the project later this year.
In addition to our testing expertise, we delivered carefully designed and constructed Microsoft Dynamics 365 training materials in the form of step-by-step documentation and playback task guides, which allowed the users to search for their relevant processes in the Help section of Dynamics and play the task recordings back, showing users how to navigate the system.
As we work with end users on a frequent basis, we learn from the feedback we receive and as a company, prefer to work in a more educational capacity than conventional test resource. We deliver workshops where we step through key processes and respond to questions as they arise to offer a more supportive and informal approach to our stakeholders.
