Enabling Quality Case Management for a Professional Standards Authority

Industry

Professional Standards – Chartered Surveyors

Size

~ 600 employees, supporting over 130,000 members whilst operating in ~ 140 countries globally

Our client was a leading professional body, setting and overseeing qualifications and independently regulating chartered professionals and organisations. To support process transparency and efficiency, they undertook a case management system upgrade – implementing ShareDo - aimed at improving quality, development, and productivity.

Challenges

• Late entry of testing into the programme lifecycle

• Strong focus on upskilling employees throughout testing

• Client preference for manual test reporting rather than using testing software.

• Relevant business process information not provided to test team in a timely manner.

• Many test scenarios did not match production processes.

Our Approach

• Establishment and enforcement of UAT test strategy, test plan, and test execution plan.

• Coordination of project-wide test preparation, test execution and tracking of progress.

• Managed FAT and UAT cycles continuously, embedding corrections and improvements fluidly.

• Conducted Functional Acceptance Testing (FAT) of the new environment to validate processes.

• Designed end-to-end scenarios and test cases to guide business users through UAT.

• Delivered comprehensive training materials (documentation, test cases, scenarios) for the client ahead of go-live

Highlights & Achievements

• Ensured a smooth UAT cycle despite late onboarding.

• Embedded a culture of employee education during the testing lifecycle.

• Delivered high-quality test documentation for long-term use

Test Outcomes:
• Test case execution percentage increased from ~74% in Cycle 1 to 100% in Cycle 2.

• Pass rate was 100% in both Cycle 1 and Cycle 2.

• All defects created during UAT were closed by the end of the test cycles.

• There were no Priority 1 or Priority 2 defects open as at the end of Cycle 2 of UAT.

Outcome

F17’s rapid mobilisation and structured approach enabled the client to achieve a successful implementation with confidence. Testing became not just a project checkpoint but also a vehicle for knowledge transfer and process maturity.
